He is a partner in the Projects & Energy and Public Law practice areas. With around 13 years of professional experience, he has focused on the field of energy and natural resources, providing legal assistance in regulatory matters, projects, transactions, and litigation to various national and international clients.

In the areas of energy and public law, his main focus has been advising on the implementation and operation of projects and infrastructures, with particular emphasis on renewable energy, advising leading energy companies in Portugal, especially on regulatory and contractual matters, as well as providing support in dispute resolution in the fields of energy and regulation.

João is the author of several writings and articles in the field of energy law and has frequently been invited to teach and speak at classes and conferences on energy and regulatory law.

Before joining PLMJ, he was a lawyer at CMS Rui Pena & Arnaut.
