Graduated in Aerospace Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, he completed a master's degree in Aerodynamics at the Von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics (Belgium) and an MBA at INSEAD Business School (France). He worked as a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group from 2000 to 2007, and from 2007 to 2009 served as advisor to the Minister of Economy and Innovation. Since 2009, he has been a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of REN.
