Jerónimo Meira da Cunha

Since October 2024, has been serving as Associate Director for Markets & Business Development in Energy & Resources and Deputy Energy Lead at EY Portugal.

Holds a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Postgraduate degree in Sustainable Energy Systems, with more than 15 years of experience in the energy sector. I began my professional career at EFACEC Engenharia as a project manager in the substations area, followed by 8 years at the Directorate-General for Energy and Geology, where I was responsible for energy planning and security of supply, and later coordinated the Energy Observatory at ADENE.

Between 2018 and 2023, I worked as a Senior Specialist and Adviser to the Secretary of State for Energy and to the Secretary of State for Energy and Environment, responsible for matters related to Energy Policy and Energy Planning, also serving as Acting Chief of Staff for 2 years. In April 2023, I took on the role of Director of Energy & Resources at EY Portugal. From September 1, 2023, to August 31, 2024, I was Director-General of the Directorate-General for Energy and Geology, while also representing Portugal in various national and international bodies.
