Gonçalo Nuno Ribeiro Brandão Amanso Pataca Lagem, born in Monforte, 48 years old, is married and has two children.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in animal production engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Beja – School of Agriculture, a Degree in Animal Production Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém – School of Agriculture, and is currently attending the 5th year of the Integrated Master’s in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Évora.

He is a Public Servant, Senior Technician at the Forestry Technical Office of the Municipality of Monforte.

Since 2010, he has also been a Senior Technician at the National Forestry Authority, and a Certified Technician for Game Management and Hunting Plans, registered with the ICNF (Institute for Nature Conservation and Forests).

Throughout his political career, he served as Deputy to the Mayor of Monforte between 2001 and 2005, Coordinator of Monforfeira – Festa do Toiro between 2001 and 2009, Deputy Mayor of Monforte between 2005 and 2009, Councillor of the Municipal Council of Monforte between 2009 and 2013, and Mayor between 2013 and 2021.

He is currently Mayor of Monforte, serving his third term.
